Terms of Service
Last Updated: September 2, 2026 | Effective Date: January 1, 2025
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you (whether individually or on behalf of an entity, "Customer" or "you") and Plumbing Bountiful ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing plumbingbountiful.com, requesting an estimate, booking an appointment, or authorizing our plumbing technicians to perform work on your property, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Scope of Plumbing Services & Dispatch
Plumbing Bountiful provides residential and commercial plumbing diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, replacements, and municipal code installations across Bountiful and Davis County, Utah. By requesting service:
- You represent that you are the lawful owner of the property or an authorized agent with legal power to contract for repairs on the premises.
- You grant our licensed technicians and authorized subcontractors safe, unobstructed access to the work area, water shut-off valves, electrical panels, and mechanical rooms.
- Our technician will perform an on-site diagnostic assessment and present a written estimate before initiating non-emergency work.
3. Estimates, Flat-Rate Pricing & Payment Terms
- Upfront Quotes: We operate on transparent, flat-rate pricing. You will be informed of total costs before repairs commence. If unforeseen concealed conditions (such as deteriorated behind-wall piping or sub-slab fractures) are discovered during work, an amended quote will be presented for your approval before proceeding.
- Payment Due Upon Completion: Payment is due in full immediately upon completion of authorized work, unless prior written commercial credit terms have been established.
- Accepted Payment Methods: Major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AMEX), debit cards, electronic bank transfers, and verified bank checks.
- Lien Rights: In accordance with Utah Code Ann. Title 38, Chapter 1a (Preconstruction and Construction Liens), contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers hold statutory lien rights against properties for unpaid labor, services, or materials.
4. Cancellations & Emergency Dispatch
We understand that schedules change. For standard scheduled service calls, we request a minimum of 2 hours' advance notice for cancellations or rescheduling. For priority emergency dispatches, if a technician has already been dispatched and arrived on-site before cancellation, a standard diagnostic/trip fee may apply.
5. Workmanship Warranty & Manufacturer Guarantees
- Workmanship Warranty: We stand behind our work. Plumbing Bountiful warrants all labor and workmanship for a period of thirty (30) days to one (1) year depending on the specific service type as indicated on your written invoice.
- Manufacturer Warranties: Equipment, fixtures, water heaters, water softeners, and replacement parts supplied by our company carry manufacturer warranties (e.g. Bradford White, Rheem, Navien, Rinnai, Moen, Kohler). Manufacturer warranty claims are governed by the terms of the manufacturer.
- Exclusions: Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, severe freezing, ground settlement, chemical abuse, customer tampering, unmitigated excessive water pressure (exceeding 80 PSI without a PRV), or pre-existing structural decay.
6. Municipal Permits & Code Compliance
Plumbing work in Utah must comply with the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) and local city building ordinances. Where municipal permits and safety inspections are required by law (such as water heater replacements, sewer lateral relining, and gas piping modifications), we will file permit documentation with the appropriate municipal authority (e.g., Bountiful, Centerville, NSL, Farmington, West Bountiful, Woods Cross). Customer agrees to facilitate reasonable access for municipal building inspectors to complete final sign-offs.
7. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide a safe working environment free of hazardous materials, unrestrained animals, and structural safety hazards.
- Disclose any known pre-existing plumbing defects, concealed electrical wiring, post-tension slabs, or underground utilities.
- Follow technician instructions regarding temporary water or gas shut-offs during active service.
8. Limitation of Liability
Except as expressly provided by Utah law, Plumbing Bountiful\'s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for pre-existing plumbing deterioration, sewer backups caused by municipal main blockages, or incidental water damage occurring prior to our technician\'s arrival and containment.
9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Davis County, Utah.
